Anna joins Meghan Cassidy and Florian Mitrea for a chamber music recital to include Mozart’s Kegelstatt Trio at St Mary’s, Perivale, to the west of London. This beautiful medieval church was closed for worship in 1972, but became a flourishing Arts Centre run by the Friends of St Mary’s Perivale. Regular concerts are held and during the Covid-19 pandemic frequent concerts have been maintained by broadcasting live from a church empty apart from the performers. Concerts are free, but donations are requested at the door or online.
Described by Martha Argerich as ‘an outstanding young pianist’ who plays Mozart ‘extremely beautifully’, Florian Mitrea is an award-winning soloist with an international performing and teaching career. He is also an active chamber musician, with recent collaborations including performances with violinists Chloe Hanslip, Midori Komachi, and Thomas Gould, with the Heath and Škampa String Quartets, and with the Atéa Quintet.
“Violist Meghan Cassidy stands out…with a fine tone, a good feeling for chamber music and a real personality” (Tully Potter, The Strad).
Alongside a chamber music career Meghan appears as Guest Principal Viola with Orchestras such as BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera North and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
